Meghan (Hebert) Mainland discovered her love for snowboarding in 2003 and quickly made it a central part of her life. In 2008, she moved from Ontario to Whistler to pursue a career in the sport, competing for several years as a Snowboard Cross athlete on the BC Snowboard Team.
When she decided to hang up her race bib, coaching felt like the perfect next step—especially after discovering her passion for it while coaching at the Roxy Women’s Camp.
In 2013, Meghan took over the North Shore Snowboard Team an Intro to Competition program, based on Vancouver’s North Shore Mountains. At the same time, she re-joined the BC Provincial Team as assistant coach. Since then, her coaching career has taken her around the globe, working with the Canadian and Brazilian National Teams at events like Junior Worlds, the Youth Olympics, and the University Games.
For Meghan, snowboarding isn’t just a job—it’s a lifestyle. Whether she’s coaching or just out for fun, she’s happiest finding side hits, zipping through the trees, and lapping the park with friends.
