Pro Ride Owner Karen Crute learned to ride on her home mountain Mount Buller in Victoria, Australia. She quickly became one of the best female riders in town and started competing in Boardercross. It was during this time that she met future husband Anthony Crute and this high-energy pair eventually settled in Whistler in 1997 to open Pro Ride Snowboard Camps.

Karen was  voted 'Privates Instructor of the Year' for Whistler Blackcomb in 2005. Her years of experience come through in her coaching, whether you are going big in the park, dropping into steeps and trees or searching for the perfect powder lines, with Karen you might just have the best day ever!

Karen has continued to share her love of snowboarding both coaching on the mountain, and in the Pro Ride office making sure everyone who comes to camp has an amazing experience.

    With our Candian border officially opening this week we are pleased to announce that all clinics, camps and courses will run as scheduled for this 2021-22 winter season.  Space will be limted so send us an email if you are looking to travel out and ride with us.  

  • Canadian Mark McMorris wins Jackson Hole leg of Natural Selection Tour

    Canadian Mark McMorris has pulled out a win in the 1st legs of the Red Bull Yeti Natural selection Tour.  The womens 1st place went to Zoi Sadowski-Synnott from New Zealand who only earned a last-minute entry via a Wildcard slot 3 weeks prior.  Congrats to both, here are the highlights from the Finals at Jackson Hole.  Next stop Baldface Lodge in Nelson, BC!

    Natural Selection Tour, the first winter sports tour to showcase the world’s top riders from Olympians to big mountain film icons, debuts live, exclusively on Red Bull TV from Jackson Hole today February 9th. These invited riders will be competing in the heats below on some of the planet’s most exciting natural and naturally-enhanced terrain in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, Baldface Lodge, British Columbia and Tordrillo Mountain Lodge, Alaska. Top finishers will go head-to-head in Alaska, where the best men’s and women’s all-mountain freestyle riders will be crowned in late March.
