Bianca Week 1
I'm here at Pro Ride Snowboard Camps training for a total of 8 weeks in order to pass my CASI Level 1 and 2 exams. Level 1 will allow me to teach children and beginners the basics of snowboarding, walking them through all stages up to turning. Then Level 2 will allow me to teach adults and intermediates to improve their snowboarding abilities. It should take about 4 weeks to train for the Level 1 exam, and then another 4 weeks to pass the Level 2 exam.

Freestyle Snowboard Camp in Whistler - By Russell Timmins

Camper Rusell Timmins came out for a 6 week Pro Ride Freestyle camp that extended to 10 weeks last season and wrote about his season long exeprience with us in Whistler.

Russell Timmins - 10 week camper

I had been snowboarding for about 10 ten years, mostly in NZ but had made the trip north to Canada twice before and loved the big mountains and the soft snow.

After a few years I couldn’t find the time to get anywhere near the snow so I decided enough was enough and looked into getting lessons or even better doing a camp. After a quick search on the net I found Pro Ride. Before I knew it I was on a plane flying north and super excited to be heading to whistler again.

Jess Rich Charging with another 1st place win at the Showdown

Last weekend Whistler hosted the 15th annual showcase showdown a slopestyle event not to be missed. This year the course was set up at the base of Whistler Mountain with snow dumping on the course for most of the afternoon making it slow causing many jumpers to knuckle the landing hard

The event was won by Jesse Millen for the men while Pro Ride's own Jess Rich took home the podium for the women.  Yay Jess, we are super proud of you.  Jess has been killing it lately with a 1st place podim finish also at the Aspen/snowmass open this past February.

"I'm so stoked," said Rich, who stomped a backside 540 tail grab as part of her winning run. "We came in today (with it) super snowy and didn't know how it was going to go, but it worked out really good."
